pHope Fire Company was dispatched to a motor vehicle accident in the area of Holmes Mill Road and Arneytown-Hornerstown Road.nbsp On arrival crews found motor vehicle accident involving two vehicles one of which involved a fatality.nbspnbspCrews stood by assisting the New Jersey State Police with traffic control during their investigation.nbsp Other agencies that responded to this incident were New Egypt Fire Company New Egypt First Aid Squad Allentown First Aid Squad Upper Freehold Township Department of Public Works Monmouth County Highway Department and New Jersey State Police.nbsp nbspnbspnbspp

Turkey Dinner Oct 16th

MVA w/ Entrapment

pHope Fire Company was dispatched for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment in the area of Rt 526 and Sharon Station Rd.nbsp Initial reports were a tree on top of a vehicle with the driver entrapped.nbsp On arrival of Rescue 82-82 crews went to work on extricating the driver of the vehicle.nbsp Driver was transported to the hospital with minor injuries.nbsp Mutual Aid was dispatched from Mercer County Sta. 40.brp

MVA Interstate 195

pHope Fire Company was dispatched for a report of an over turned vehicle with entrapment and vehicle fire.nbsp On arrival of 82-82 crews had a single vehicle roll over with no entrapment and vehicle extinguished.nbsp Crews remained on scene for a short time until vehicle was removed by the wrecker.brp

MVA Dump Truck into Guard Rail

pHope Fire Company was dispatched to Interstate 195 to assist state police with freeing a dump truck from the guard rail.nbsp Crews cut the vertical I-beams and the guard rail that were run over by the truck so the wrecker could pull the truck out. A hand line was stretched and the k-12 was passed in service.p

Boats and Pump Training

pOn the evening of July 25th members of Hope Fire Company trained at Assunpink Lake in the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area.nbsp Members trained on boat safety and proper boat operation for rescue operations.nbsp Members also trained on pump operations – specifically obtaining and maintaining a water supply which is critical for the bulk of our response area which has no hydrants.nbspp

July 4th Working House Fire

pOn the 4th of July Hope Fire Company was in the progress of doing there holiday coin toss when a motorist alerted them of a house on fire about a 12 mile down from where they were collecting on Rt. 539.nbsp Within moments E-82 81 was in service and on location reporting a fully involved structure fire.nbsp Crews initially went in service with a 2 12 in. hand line until more units arrived.nbsp Due to the volume of fire Tower 17 Nottingham was placed in service to knock the fire down. Mutual Aid was requested from all surrounding towns due to the need of water and the high heat.brp

Vehicle and Camper Fire Rt195 MP10.7 WB

pOn July 21st Hope Fire Company was dispatched to a vehicle and camper fire on Route 195 MP 10.7 westbound.nbspPrior to arrival the New Jersey State Police shut down the west bound traffic lanes allowing Rescue 8282 and Tanker 8296 to safely and quickly access the scene while traveling east in the westbound lane.nbspOn arrival crews found a fully involved vehicle with heavy fire in a camper that was being towed.nbsp8282 made an initial attack with a handline but quickly utilized a deck gun once water was provided from the tanker.nbspMutual aid was called for from Millstone Township to assist given the heavy fire and the days high temperatures.nbspTanker 3296 stood by at an on-ramp while Engine 3275 responded to the scene.nbspEngine 8281 and Squad 8221 also responded to the scene.p

MVA with entrapment

pHope Fire Company was dispatched for a Motor Vehicle Accident on the evening of June 22 2011.nbsp En route rescue 8282 was notified that one victim may still be entrapped.nbsp On arrival crews had a 2 vehicle accident with one vehicle off the road way and down a embankment approx. 30ft off the roadway.nbsp The driver of the vehicle off the road way was still in the vehicle.nbsp Hydraulic tools were then placed in service to free the patient.nbsp Mutual aid response from Mercer County Hamilton Sta. 19 and Allentown EMS.brp

Car Carrier Fire NJTP

pOn June 8 2011 Hope Fire Company with the Career Staff responded mutual aid onto The New Jersey Turnpike mp 58 for a tractor trailer car carrier on fire. 4 vehicles were involved on the trailer.nbsp All southbound lanes were closed for 10 to 15 minutes to allow firefighters to safely position their hoses and knock down the bulk of the fire.The blaze was fought by firefighters from Robbinsville Fire Department Groveville Fire Co. of Hamilton Township Hope Fire Co. of Allentown Derby Fire Co. of Bordentown Township Union-Crosswicks Fire Co. of Chesterfield Township and East Windsor Township Fire Co. 1.p

Fire Alarm turns into Hazmat assignment

pHope Fire Company responded to the Allentown Sewer Treatment plant for a fire alarm activation on Memorial Day May 30 2011.nbsp Within moments of dispatch 82-81 was in service and was on scene in minutes.nbsp When the crew of 82-81 was inside investigating they found a broken pipe within the chemical room.nbsp All members were evacuated and Monmouth County Hazmat was requested.nbsp All Units remained on scene for approximately 4 and a half hours until the scene was secured.nbsp Mutal Aid responding – Groveville Sta. 19 Robbinsville Sta. 40 Nottingham Sta. 17 and cover assignment from Millstone Sta. 32-1.brp

Pole Fire

pHope Fire Company was dispatched for a brush fire on Elisdale Rd.nbsp 82-81 and 82-93 both responded.nbsp On arrive crews had wires arcing onnbsp the pole with the pole on fire.nbsp Crews stood-by until power was secured. nbsp brp
